[Beryl had ended up in the forest just like all the other new arrivals and in his efforts to get his bearings, had hit upon the scent of blood in the distance. Even before becoming a pokemon, he was been pretty attuned to the smell of the stuff. It was familiar, almost comforting to him (unfortunately for everyone else) and with the (Midnight) Lycanroc’s newly enhanced olfactory capability it was all the stronger and more intoxicating. Like, sure, it set off some warning bells, but more importantly, it was very interesting. He basically had no choice but to follow it to its source.
And so he makes his way to the scene of the crime(?) at the edge of town with a half-hearted caution, staring first at the piles of flesh then slowly turning his attention to the bloody bird. Truly, very, very interesting. This creature didn’t seem to have the benefit of fangs or claws like he had - had it done all this with those talons? The wolf grins.]
