Ren notices Akechi's discomfort. He shuffles a little closer, offering comfort if it's wanted. Akechi's a skittish creature when it comes to sentimentality like that, but Ren thinks that if any situation calls for it, it's this one.

"I mean... that's what people usually do. They try to help each other in bad situations," Ren murmurs. He knows Akechi's experiences would indicate the opposite- some of Ren's own do, but... "These pokemon... they seemed genuine enough, right? Even if they were wary, they helped us."
