It just means he has to deliver the move to them himself, meaning that when Emmet throws himself back into the fray with another Shadow Claw (which knocks out the battered Swoobat from earlier), the sinister foxfire circling him also manages to leave two more Swoobat with burns as well in exchange for Emmet having to bear the brunt of a Heart Stamp to do so. ]
